Off the cuff?
Does anyone else have the feeling that this story is going nowhere?
Re: Off the cuff?
I don't feel like this story is going nowhere, but I do wish it would hurry up and get where it is going.Jengels2002 wrote:Does anyone else have the feeling that this story is going nowhere?

I have to agree with BK. Plus, if the story moved too quickly, we wouldn't have enough time to talk about each episode and develop all the fun and wacky theories we like to come up with. For me, that's a big part of the fun.Broken Kid wrote:It probably does seem slow when you consider television and movies.
When you consider real life, though, it seems to be progressing pretty typically. And that's what this is supposed to resemble: real life.

Maybe my life moves faster than others...but this doesn't move like real life to me. It reminds me of the serials when I was a kid..."Tune in next week to find out if little Jimmy gets out of the burning building." (Even though he was struggling in last week's show, too.)Broken Kid wrote:It probably does seem slow when you consider television and movies.

Agreed, however, it would be nice to find the happy medium for this show's pace. I'm not expecting the instant gratification of television and movies these days...but a few more relevant plot points invested in each video would be very nice. Many theories that were made a long time ago haven't been proven or disproven because the storyline hasn't reached that point. (And I'm not talking about the far in the future predictions.)trainer101 wrote:...if the story moved too quickly, we wouldn't have enough time to talk about each episode and develop all the fun and wacky theories we like to come up with. The show is an innovative step, granted...but this is definitely an issue that needs to be tweaked, soon.

Me neither. That can wait until I'm rocking chair bound.CoeMia wrote:You're 100% right! That's an excellent point.trainer101 wrote:Soap Operas can run for years with no major development in the plot. Watch an episode once every six months and you're pretty much caught up.
That's also the #1 reason why I don't watch soaps. lol
