A thought on tracking devices.

OK, we have a line of thought that says there are two groups - one watching over them, one seaching for them.

What if the reason their room was broken into was to REMOVE the tracking device? (Say perhaps the helpful group removed it so the harmful group couldn't use it to track them? Or something.)

Quick issues, which do not disprove but certainly leads us to believe that isn't the case:

OpAphid is at least partially responsible for the break in, and he is with the Order. Also, if they were being helpful, they wouldn't have stolen the money.

I haven't searched the tracking device threads yet, but I think that someone from the Order placed a tracking device in Owen. He was one of the only things in the ransacked hotel room that was damaged, and he had a cut in his body that could be big enough for a tracking device. Does anyone else believe this theory?

surely if it was to remove the tracking device, they would have left the room as it was found, so that it wouldn't freak out Bree and Daniel when they came back.

It is possible they were trying to freak them out so they would leave, if leaving was the best thing for their safety at the time.

I'm not sure what to think, but I have always considered this a possible theory. I also wonder if Tachyon broke in first, and then OpAphid broke back in to reinstall or remove the tracking device. The evidence of this is that Tachyon said to OpAphid afterwards that she was "sorry for the mess"

idk what to believe. But I don't think we should assume that everyone who is presented as evil actually is.

I raised this possibility awhile back, but nobody paid attention. I think if Owen was damaged in order to insert a tracking device, Oppy (or whoever did the damage) would have repaired the damage, so the device wouldn't be detected.

My first reaction was that the damage was simply an accidental result of the ransacking, but it's an interesting point. Why ransack the room at all unless someone were looking for something? And wouldn't it make sense to look *inside* of stuffed animals? The question, then, is what would be small enough to fit inside a stuffed animal? Perhaps something small enough to fit inside of a small wooden box with an emblem on it? The stolen money would simply be a red herring to divert attention from the real goal of the search.

From emails sent by Tachyon and OpAphid, we have figured out that Tachyon injured (or possibly killed) her watcher, hence the "sorry for the mess" quote.

This is starting to remind me of those British mysteries on PBS that become totally opaque after the first 15 minutes. Yo, Writers! Jamie Gilmour is right. The plot to this thing sucks bigtime. You're about to lose me, and I suspect a lot of other folks. You've got too many tangents running to the point where you have to be a fanatic to have any idea what's going on.

What about the shark puppet turned inside-out? A warning that P. Monkey could possibly be the carrier of the tracking device?

Tracking devices, these days can be pretty tiny. As small as (or smaller than) a microchip; as thin as a piece of cardboard.

Just because Owen was injured doesn't automatically mean a bug's been implanted into him. Just like the stolen money might be meant as a diversionary tactic, Owen's scar may also be a diversion. Something else to take the attention away from the real target or location of an abberration.

Also, going along with Languorous Lass's comment that Op Aphid would repaired a wound to the stuffed animal (most likely to cover their tracks) what about Thor?? He wasn't found injured, but he may have been.

Who knows? Maybe all three of them have/had bugs implanted in them, just to be thorough?

Ah okay, thank you for telling me.
So wait, there is only one watcher assigned to each person?
