ARG aspect
The ARG aspect would be more fun if everyone could actually participate...instead of being condescendingly told something was already resolved in chat. Not everyone can participate in the chat the ARG people use OR the one on this site. It is bad enough that most of us are 'noobs' and don't get much involvement, but to limit your fans like this is pretty crappy, honestly.

i know we've kind of argued about a chat issue earlier, K, but I completely 100% agree with you.
The forums, to me, have always been the front runner, But I guess some people do not share that opinion and believe that the IRC chat is a more suppieror place to ... be ( i think my wording is screwed up there...sorry).
I'm feeling completely like it's the forum members against the IRC members now. As well as on top of the I find that SOME (not all, but SOME) of the IRC members come onto to forums and treat the people who choose or can not participate on the IRC room like crap, or like we're idiots. Or are very very rude to us when we try to help.
I'm not saying everyone is like it, but I know a few people have made complaints and have called people "elitists," and I do agree that there are SOME people on the IRC that do act that they are above the rest because of some reason...the only reason anyone can come up with is because of is the chat. Who knows if it really is because of the chat, or if it's because that is jsut their personality.
Either way, I, and I'm sure a few others, are tired of feeling like it's the forum members against the IRC members. We want to be a team when working on these puzzles. We don't want to be working against each other. And we don't want to miss any ideas or clues.

What it is now, is a misunderstanding...but something should still be done to make it easier to retrieve important info/happenings from chat. Right now, it gets buried and some are not so nice, like the person basically saying we should just stop discussing things in the forum and move it to chat. It was put forth pretty rudely. Just a simple way to organize what happens in chat for all the noobs and non chat losers.Killthesmiley wrote:i think the WHOLE situation is a big misunderstanding.
Plus, I do think the chat should be the one from the site...but it doesn't matter much since I can't connect to either, lol.

I bounce pretty seamlessly between the forums and the chat. I don't get to go to the chat very often, but I know that the folks in the chat always try to make sure that everything they're working on is posted somewhere in the forum.
I think a lot of the confusion is coming because each puzzle ends up having eighty seven different threads associated with it, with no link between them. So no one's sure where to look for the latest info on what's going on. Does that make sense?
Maybe we can set up some sort of protocol for an ongoing update thread for each video/puzzle/drop set.
Or maybe I should just shut up.

Ah, for the good old days.

Yes! Thank you, I think you understood me without being insulted! This would be a great help. I tried to suggest that...but didnt' phrase it right, evidently and seemed to provoke some defensive comments.Beautiful Nightmare wrote:I bounce pretty seamlessly between the forums and the chat. I agree with the comment about the chat people vs. the forum peeps.
I have tried to go into the chats a couple of times and feel completely like an outsider. The chatters are already a "family" and I really have never felt welcomed. So now I stick to the forum.
I hate that we cant just all work together and chat together as a team.
