Could Bree be in Trouble With the Law?

Clues. Theories. Where do you think the story is headed?

Now that Bree has witnessed a possible murder and has run from the scene of the crime, do you think that the police might seek her out?

Could Bree be in Trouble With the Law?

Post by breewithcrackers »

It seems that there must have been other witnesses to the shooting and that they would have seen Bree, Jonas and Daniel running from the scene and speeding away in their car...is it possible that the police could come after her too, wrongly suspecting that she was involved in some kind of shooting? (even if no one actually died, she could still be a suspect as an accessory in the attempted murder of her father...)

This could seriously compound her problems...

I don't...but in her older videos she seemed pretty adamant about "not trusting the authorities" because she believed that they were tied to the order, so I assumed she hasn't...

I doubt they'd get police involved (for that reason anyway).

so then if they didn't get the police involved, then they could be suspected as accesories in a shooting, since they fled the scene of the crime without contacting the authorities to alert them that it occured...it's a catch 22

She ran for her life. She didn't leave a crime scene.

if someone gets up and shoots your friend...and you run away...

are you fleeing a crimescene or running for your life?

can't go to jail for that.

yes, but she didn't report the crime which means that the police officers don't know whether she was fleeing for her life or fleeing from a crime scene.

if someone highjacks your car with you in it (without anyone knowing) and you get into a car accident and you flee the scene, and don't contact any police station they have NO way of knowing that your car was highjacked or that you were a victim. without your testimony they could just as easily assume that the highjacker was an acquaintance who isn't as fast of a runner as you are and that the two of you were equally culpable in that hit and run.

How do you know that she DOESN'T report it? This isn't past tense, it's future tense. We don't know if she will or not.

But I seriously doubt she will.

God. I thought your name was breepoop.

anyways, in this case...I don't think the law applies much to the Breeniverse.

Besides, Gemma and Bree both said that there are watchers and people in the order who belong to the police. I doubt they would let her report it anyway.

I think it's an interesting question, though. What if a witness ID-ed Bree and the police insisted on confirming that she wasn't an accessory to the crime... There would be the chance for her to spill her guts about teh Order and end teh cat and mouse game once and for all -- but she wouldn't know if the officers were part of the Order. That twist would have some minor but very good plot tension/suspense.

Exactly! They probably had the whole thing covered up before it even went down. If Bree even tried to report the incident, they'd send her to swim with the fishies.
