hi, newbie here.
i searched for this on the forums and didn't find anything, so i apologize if someone has already posted this. i just decided this past sunday to see what all the lonelygirl15 fuss was all about, but now i'm hopelessly addicted (i watched all the videoblogs in two days), although i'm also still very uninformed...
i did a google search on "aleister crowley, daniel, jonas," and this is what i found on the aleister crowley society website:
"Daniel Jonas is a management consultant by profession but has been working for more than a decade in the field of interfaith relations including, almost uniquely, Jewish-Pagan interfaith work. Daniel is also one of the founders of the Centre for New Jewish Thought and the bandleader of the Sephardic flamenco group Los Desterrados."
and here's the link:
http://www.lashtal.com/nuke/Article807.phtml
strange that a guy named daniel jonas would be associated with the aleister crowley society...

That is quite interesting! You might throw this up (err...post it) in the religion section. Lots of people around who love the research on the religious angle.
Good find for a "noob"! Keep up the good work and welcome to the site!

I agree with silvermoon...this would do better in the Religion section.
Welcome suspicious poster!

Interesting theory...meliketh very much. Still, I doubt the writers would pinpoint one guy as the basis for the Order...And a quick google search found many Daniel Jonas's. Still, great work and welcome!

Lashtal.com (aka "The Aleister Crowley Society") is a legitimate Thelemic website, although as with most things in Thelema, the opinions expressed in there don't necessarily reflect the "official dogma" of any particular group.
As far as I know, "The Aleister Crowley Society" isn't OTO per se.
Just FYI.

Nope, it's Paul, the webmaster of LAShTAL. Non-official, non-partisan.
