Bree's Accent

I'm pretty good at detecting accents, and in her YT video blog "Daniel Returns, and More Interesting Factoids (Yay!)"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58zh4Lby8Qc
just after the first minute (exactly 1:03) you can hear her say "everybody knows that the earth is a dinner plate sitting on the back of a turtle."
OK, so when she said, "EVERYBODY knows" you can hear a very unAmerican accent. it's actually more of a NZ or Australian accent.
This whole time I've heard her with an American accent. Was this a mistake? Or is it just a small accent she kept while living in NZ?
I don't think we can use this info to prove that she's acting though.
unless we don't find anything else like that in the rest of her blogs.

I don't mean to be rude, but have you been living under a rock?
The people who created this series and the actress who plays her have come out and admitted it's not "real". It's been all over the news. The girl who plays Bree is a 19 years old actress from New Zealand, and sometimes her accent slips!
Whether the NZ connection was put in to account for the fact her accent does sometimes slip or if it's significant to the plot remains to be seen.

I've lived in the New Orleans area my whole life and really I would say for whatever reason I have a Neutral (American) accent. At times or depending on what I am saying..I sound like am from all over... Some of us are accent mimics..we use accents for certain phrases based on where we first heard it. I know for myself I've answered the phone for my boss(knowing it was for her) in Korean and the speakers on the other end freaked out when they found out I wasn't a Korean because my accent was apparently so perfect. My point is some people tend to pick up lilts from where they have lived..where they have heard things...and depending on their mood different bits and pieces may be heard.
While the answer of real or not has been answered for Bree it would not have been a reasonable way to decide if someone is faking or not based on little peeks of an accent.

Her turtle should have been named "Maturin"...
See the TURTLE of enormous girth!
On his shell he holds the earth.
His thought is slow but always kind;
He holds us all within his mind.
On his back all vows are made;
He sees the truth but mayn't aid.
He loves the land and loves the sea,
And even loves a child like me."

Umm us Kiwi's sound NOTHING like American's...
Apparently, we're a lot more softly spoken, but of course I'm not sure.
Anyway - how's the mount Jess

The kiwi accent has a softer 'r' sound we speak a lot faster than the typical american. Our 'r' is more of an 'ahhhh'
I would liken the kiwi accent more closely to the british accent and the aussie accent is more like the american accent.

has anyone suggested that she is an actress telling a story in the vid in question? im not even an actor, but when i tell stories i do little voices, and that would fit perfectly because i picture an english woman or something saying "turtles all the way down." i dont know why, but i hear what youre all talking about, but i dont think it it important
no idea

She is doing an alright job at tryna sound american but i can hear the kiwi in her. I can say one thing New Zealand accent is NO WAY like Austrialian, aussies have more of a "tang" in their lingo i reckon. Nz acsent sounds pretty cool never really realised the difference untill u hear it on tv
NEW ZEALAND ROCKS (my 5cents

When I tell funny stories like that, I put on a fake British accent that probably sounds more NZ or something, I don't know. I've been in England so I have an idea what it sounds like. But I don't know about NZ, and I don't have much contact with Australian. Also, I'm a mild accent mimic. Mild, mind you.
