can anyone recommend a book that breaks down Thelema and its history from an objective point of view?

Hello all, I am a practitioner and follower of the teachings of Aleister Crowley and I noticed that someone inquired about an objective view on Thelema and Crowley's teachings etc. The problem there is that it is a difficult matter to address.
More often than not the references to Crowley one will find outside of his own work or sympathetic works will portray him as an unapologetic Satanist and child killer or something equally or sometimes even more dreadful. COnsidering the nature of the crimes that these people like to accuse Crowley of it makes on wonder HOW Crowley remained free to roam not just England but the rest of the world itself. The conviction with which these people write is all the worse because they act as if there is EVIDENCE of these matters.
Then you have the other hand of the matter, the Thelemites who, in most cases, deify Crowley but you also have just as many who vilify him. LOL. Its damn near impossible to get a good, objective view but I can provide a list of books to give you a good idea of what Thelema is and just what we do:
The Law if for All is a commentary on the Book of the Law by ALeister Crowley. The BOok of the Law is a book that Crowley "received" in Egypt in the year 1904 while on honeymoon with his first wife.
The BOok of Thoth is Crowley exegesis on Thelema and the Cosmos as related in the images of the Tarot. Very well done
Magick Without Tears is a series of letter that Crowley wrote to his student, silent film actress Jane Wolfe, in the 1940s, just before his death. These are some of the most clear and concise of Crowley's writings.
The Magick of Thelema by Lon Duquette is an analysis of Crowley's rituals and ceremonies like the Gnostic Mass. DuQuette also gets into the philosophy of Liber AL though he takes an esoterical approach and since then we have begun to think, especially post 9/11, that the Book of the Law is very much an EXOTERIC book. Esoteric means hidden meanings while Exoteric means exactly what the book says.
