What Plot?

Pretend I am brand new and you are here to explain to me the plot of LG15. How would you go about doing so?

Ever since watching "Missing Days" I have been tying to figure this out myself.
Is there a plot at all?

There is a girl (a lonely girl with two very close friends) who is being chased by someone (who? I don't know) for some vague reason and apparently there is another woman who has documents that she stole from someone who might be the people chasing the girl, but those documents seem useless, or at least, if they are useful we are surely not in on it.

Now, there is something called The Order. Don't ask me what that is because I couldn't tell you. However, there are apparently... factions(?) of The Order. Or maybe The Order has an enemy cleverly referred to as The Anti-Order. Side note: is this "the resistance" as in "Faction: THE RESISTANCE?" Or is The Resistance just DJ&B?

Anywho, The Order may or may not be made up of more than one group. There is definitely (well as definitely as anything LG15 can be) something called OpAphid (Operation APHID) which is a woman AND a group. I don't really know how that works. But moving on, the woman with the stolen documents, Tachyon, stole them from OpAphid. Why? How? Oh you know better than to ask THOSE sorts of questions!

OK so one of the lonely girl's friends (I love the irony of that) has an aunt who might be in The Order, or might be some sort of android fashion rep.

Recently it is possible that after someone who may or may not be The Order kidnapped the lonely girl and her two buddies, tortured them then... set them free? a cowboy shot someone with a camera in the desert.

OK, I think that about sums it up.

Oh also, there was this adorable purple monkey who used to hold press conferences. I miss him.

Fill in what I left out. Help me sane-ify myself.

Alex wanted to say something to Daniel. That sounds like she was part of the Order, saw the videos, and is having a change of heart. I really do think that definitively places Alex's affiliations.

Oh. and it was a watcher shot somebody.

Maybe, but that's pure speculation. And affiliations with what exactly?

Good point. I forgot that which is funny because that fact is the source of my angst!
Daniel said a watcher shot the person with the camera, right?

Affiliations with the Order. What would she have to say to them between last time and now other than that she saw the Order's videos? The only people who have access to that are people in the Order.

Right.

lol Jane, Here's my plot summary. At least most current, from the time Bree decided not to do the ceremony until now:

(aproximated plot)
running, running, running, crash at friends house
running, running, running, motel
running, running, running, motel
running, running, running, sleep in warehouse
running, running, running, motel
running, running, running, crash at friends house
running, running, running, crash at friends summer cabin
running, running, running, motel
running, running, running, crash at relatives house
running, running, running, motel
running, running, running, crash at order torture facility
running, running, running, sleep in car at hotel

Interspersed with episodes of high five, foosball reading Nancy Drew novels and sloppy drunkeness.

Then wasn't there something about some guy named Crowley?

Oh, and I suspect OpAphid, Tachy and Brother are on hiatis until the lawyers decide who owns them. They may be down for the count.

Hey but alot of the Fan Fic rocks - Have you checked out Voyboys latest? And when are you coming up with your next video? And then there's HSA - I think Ms. Kelly is on fire again. And of course, one of my personal favorites - OpAphid is still hanging in therel at Facility J. Infact an OPA operative is in line to receive the next package of chemical J. That should get lively!

I agree that it's time that the Creators start tying up some loose ends (which they haven't really done satisfactorily up to this point). While I am still enjoying the series, it almost seems like it's just being mysterious for the sake of being mysterious, and not for the ultimate goal of advancing the plot.

Honestly, I don't think I could even explain to someone new what lg15 is about... I'd give them a link to the site and say "happy watching/reading" its just one of those things that you have to follow the series to understand it.

I like Luminous's post though :-D

alright...well everything I saw so far is the plot to a tee....but put in a more...un-plot like way.

The story is about a girl, a simply normal, nieve, intellegent, homeschooled girl who is one day told that she is important. She is told that she is important to her religion, and she needs to do a ceremony. But when her friends find out about this ceremony, and become suspicious about the followers and leaders of the religion, they do some research and discover that there is a very suspicious, dangerous past linked to this religion. They begin to talk to the girl and ask her what its about, and when she goes as far as having her parents question to safety of the ceremony, they begin to see the evil side of their religion's leaders. Discovering their religion isn't a religion at all, but a ancient secret society, the girl, Bree, is sent off with little money and her friend, Daniel, running from the order. After numerous close encounters, and deaths, they discover who is with them, and who does not have the best intentions for them.

The story is about a girl who is running for a secret society that is trying to pressure her into doing a ceremony. That is what it is about, that is what the plot is. While yes it's a slow moving plot, or we feel its a slow moving plot because of the way it is delivered to us, there is still a plot. We can't forget about the events that began this whole chase. That is where a lot of the answers that the newcomers will be looking for.

Yeah it was perfect. She summed it up really well. I was starting to lose interest lately, but after reading that I remember why I still watch. :)

Hah! Luminous, I'm putting this in Best Post Evah (unless somebody's already beaten me to it).

I agree, theres so much information they could give us that wouldn't necessarily take away from the mysteriousness of the plot.
They're always showing us little tidbits of stuff with no real explanation then covorting off into some other adventure with another tidbit and again no explanation. Not tryin to knock the creators guys, so no need to get defensive. I just think that Bree could have clued us in on a lot along the way while keeping up with an awesome story. I know a lot of people are getting tired of the running and running and running. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Enough with the foreplay! Lets get down to it, its fun to meet up here and speculate but how bout some facts?

I don't understand you feeling this way. After watching "Alex is...", in which she is unnecessarily heartless and cruel, to think she made an about face just like that seems a little unreasonable.

Don't you think this "wanting to tell Daniel something" could be Daniel's imagination (after all, he was taken with her), or she is intentionally trying to get them to trust her? If watchers are following them, then they knew they went to Alex's house, and that they would probably follow Alex when she left.

If you want to believe this is proof positive of Alex turning around, go ahead. However, I think it's naive to do so.
