An Idea for Future Video Creation

First off - this is meant to be an anonymous posting, which is why this new account's been registered; explanation is below.

-----

The reason why some video series have been so well-received is through the more ARG aspects of it - mystery over who is behind it, the canon/non-canon question, etc.

This is just an idea, so let's hear thoughts on it.

Basically, this is meant to be an anonymous user. The person who owns it is not interested in the solving of puzzles and codes as I am in creating them. I'm not certain how better to alleviate any concerns of impropriety other than to just say that.

This account is set up for the idea of any video recruitment needs. The plan is eventually to have a few extremely trustworthy people - probably mods or well-respected content creators - run this user to coordinate the collective resources of this site, the most important of which is the people in its community, to create videos.

Example of its usage - if someone would like to make a video in Miami but they live in Tallahassee, they PM the vidrecruiter user that they are interested in doing so. The vidrecruiter then posts a notice that anyone in Miami willing to work on a video should private message the vidrecruiter user. (Obviously anyone who agrees to work on a video is then on their honor to not participate in the decoding of that video, or at least one video after it.)

This keeps the secrecy without sacrificing the great community we have built here. Who knows, perhaps one day enough people will get into making videos that this network will become strong enough to branch out into one big storyline.

So, thoughts?

Maybe the example needs to be fleshed out a bit more, but I don't quite understand the purpose of an anonymous ID for recruiting... is this to arrange ARG-ish drops without giving away which locations are being used by a given ARG?

Also, why is there a need for a shared anonymous ID? Couldn't anyone just create their own recruiting ID to separate it from their usual ID, and post recruiting ads as in "If you want to contribute videos to an ARG under construction, and live near a U.S. state beginning with the letter N, send me a PM."

Somehow the shared ID thing sounds like a dating service, lol. "For a good ARG role, text 55555"
