				Black vs. White

Someone in the forum brought up that Alex only wears black and/or white. Well what are the simple connotations connected to these contrasting colors?
Black - Unpure/dirty, a color of mourning, it is often used to describe "bad" things. "Black Sheep" of the family, the "Black Market," "Black Tuesday," etc.
White - Innocence/purity, surrender, truce, peace. "White dove," "White Flag," etc.
Alex wore a black ensemble in the last video, was this perhaps The Creators way of foreshadowing? Does it provide information to how we should look at how the characters dress to predict future events in the plot?

				It's probably intentional.
It's pretty common to use black and white that way in fiction

She isn't always wearing black or white. In "Spanglish", while she's walking around the beach with Daniel, she's wearing a green/seafoam-ish top.

I don't know what this adds to the mix, but in many non-mainstream faiths, particularly occult practices, black does not represent negativity, but rather neutrality. It is often worn to disperse negative energy, and create a neutralized "working area", in which one can communicate with deity, cast spells, meditate, etc.

Maybe with all the crap that has happened to her, she wears black to mourn in a way. She always had a darker side that seemed to be quite sorrowful, not evil. Just the quiet way she acts sometimes seems to give a feeling of sadness. It is as almost as if she is silently pleading for help.
Alex seems to be elsewhere most of the time, probably going through her own thoughts, and reflecting on memory. She also frequently brings up events that already occured, and most of them end in a tragic way, and some (like when she was talking about who she was at the beach with) seem to trail off, as if she wants to drop the topic. Her life seems to have been a long and painful one.
She seems to want to connect. Maybe that is why she not only stayed close to the order, but to Bree and Co. as well throughout the time we have known her. But at the same time, she will push others away so she can be alone.
But for her behavior in the last vid, it was really weird and seemed unlike her. I am referring when she informed them that Bree was no longer neccessary. It was not the same as when she talked into the camera about Jonas's parents, which was done so she would still be in favor of the Order. Most of the time, she completely shuts down when faced with force (i.e, Bree, a 17 yr old, pushed her down and told her to talk), and she seemed to be scared of Jonas (though I really could not see her). Too weird. And it does not make sense that if she cares for Bree and Co., why not tell them right away, so they could go back to their lives.
I'm confused. Anyone else have a better grasp of her? I hate this not knowing whether to trust her or not.

I don't think her clothing has much to do with where her alliances are. I think it's more of a character thing. Black and white look clean, classy, chic, professional. She works in the fashion world and she falls into her company's target demographic. Her personality has come off with that sort of professional, put-together attitude.

I have also noticed that Daniel seems to wear white or light colors a lot, and Jonas tends to wear black a lot. This probably has nothing to do with anything, just thought I'd throw it out there.
Oh, and maybe Alex likes black, because everyone know black makes you look slimmer.
Shades at the beach...unheard of!

She's done that already, at least with Jonas. Remember the beach vid? What was it, "Apology Accepted"?
