I have a friend who lives in that building. He's on the 5th floor of the Ambler Johnson Dormitory building. He was telling me about it all morning before it hit the news.

There were cops and swat teams everywhere. They wouldn't tell the students that lived there what happened. Ambulances were everywhere too.

it's some really scary and REALLY unfortunate stuff :(

also no one was allowed out of the buildings or on campus for a long time.

He said that lots of people are going home now because of all of this

Holy crap, Kelly. Your friend is okay, I take it? At least physically?

I am praying for the injured, the dead, and the families of all involved. I ask that those who believe in a Higher Power do so as well.

haha if you knew him you would know why i said it ;)

nah im joking he's alive and I'm glad.

He didn't hear the shots cause he was at the farm with his cow (he's studying dairy science) so when he got back at around 8:30 he was all confused as to what was going on.

Kelly, I'm glad to hear your friend is okay (though I will admit to a horrible chuckle at the phrase "him and his cow").

I immediately thought of this place when I first heard the news. We don't have any Virginia posters here, do we?

I've been following this story off and on all day. Crap like this destroys all hope in my mind. It's so depressing.

If you're weird, than I am, too. I was crying off and on all morning.

I just can't understand why people would do this to each other.

Juli, thanks for your post in the videos section. I have two kids, and rarely watch TV. I would not have known about this until someone called me. I am praying.
