Just browing the net, and I found this.

I was researching Aleister Crowley and Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, which is a form of spiritual development that Crowley was a part of back in the day.
I found this picture...
http://www.hermeticgoldendawn.org/Art/eden1.htm
notice at the very top of the cross ... with the moon cresent cradles the sun. It sort of looks like the Hymn of One's symbol from their website, hymnofone.com.
Also, this is supposedly some sort of depiction of
before the fall of eden. ...
Also, the symbol on the Hymn of One's myspace (though not sure if it's real 'legit' or not)...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Crow ... xagram.svg
...it's Crowley's own design of the hexagram for the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
Interesting?
Again, I'm new to the boards so if this information has been revealed already, I apologize.

Hi, Julie.
While those things may be on the webpage, the HoO is not a real religion. It's a front for the Order. The religious ruse is to draw people in.

Yup, Hymn of One is fake, but I understand that "in game" this does seem compelling. Cuz although this is pretends, we're pretending that everything in the Breeniverse is real. So, yeah, if Hymn of One was real, that picture and information would be very telling! It's just another bit of information that we can use to try to figure out Hymn of One and why something like "The Order" would be in existence. I am somewhat new to the boards too, but I think the whole Crowley aspect was hashed out last year. I'm sure a search of the board would bring up threads that you would probably be interested in reading. I myself did look back at old threads one night, and got freaked out. lol Then I read the "is bree an alien" thread and have regretted reading it since then. lol
Welcome to the forum! (If a new forumner is allowed to welcome another even newer forumner.)

That alien thread should have stayed locked.

I know that Hymn of One is fake and all that.
I just thought that maybe by researching these things, we can get an idea of what the fictional Order might be up to, or what might be in store for the new ceremony girl, etc.

That's just what my brother is doing. He has quite a bit of data and I might be able to convince him to PM you. He refuses to post anymore.

it's great to be researching things. Plus we know Crowley is important here but not exactly why, so it doesn't hurt to have more and more information. You can never know too much. This was interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing an welcome to the boards!
new comer to the forums...

but isn't it interesting that the hexagram kinda looks like some of the shapes on the LG15 website banner?

Nice find, kismet.
BTW, in the Breeniverse, HoO is not a religion. Bree has said that HoO is a front for the Order, so that means both in-game and out, HoO is not a religion.
Before you go doing all sorts of research, jomp, you should do a search here. There are hundreds of pages about Crowley right here on the site; we spent literally thousands of hours between us doing the research. Whatever you want to know is probably here already.
stars, flowers, and other girly stuff

Jompyshy, that is an interesting graphic! Nice find
There is an active thread under "Her Religion" on The Hymn of One where we have explored a lot of this. I am sure there are plenty of older threads too, but being a newbie myself, I understand how it can be daunting trying to sift through all of that stuff.
Kismet, great pull on the LG15 logo! I can't believe that was under our noses all this time. Crowley's version of the Unicursal hexagram is special because of the five-pedaled flower in the center. That flower is pretty prominent in the logo!! It is symbolically synonymous with the pentagram. Now that I look, pentagrams and five-pointed stars are all over this website and the forum! What does it mean? I dunno, but it’s a pretty cool observation.
edited for spelling

Damn, that thing was right there the whole time!
Do you think it means anything?
I think it can be made into three ideas:
1. It is a clue from the creators about Crowley, but since we have already looked him up and found out a lot already, that we noticed it way too late. Or, it is a clue to look more in depth to the group that Crowley made it for.
2. In the Breeneverse, the Order owns this site. Oh sh*t.
3. It was stuck in there becuase they think it looks cool in the banner, and it is not really random, it actually has a point in the show. Plus, it can be compared to the show; the banner is all "happy" and Bree looking, but if you look hard enough can see the harder edged stuff that is the the actual inner workings. This also goes with the theme of not taking anything at face value (i.e The Hymn of One as a religion).

Anyone else see the yellow cirlce thing in the banner? I dont have my contacts in, so i cant see good, but i swear there is a faint yellow thing in there.
I turned up the brightness and contrast on my screen to see if there was anything else in there, and I found that thing.
I dont have photoshop or anything. so I'm going to have to give you some directions. Starting from the white star, go up until you hit one of those Crowley things, but it is encased in a circle and near the top. Moving over a little to the right, the thing should be right there.
The hell is that? Is it even yellow? or am i looking at it wrong?

I kind of see it too. It looks like a stain on my monitor, but it isn't.
Could try zooming in on it, and increasing the sharpness, but I don't think it'll do much..
Nope, looks like it's just a smooge.

you can see a little bit better on Kismetologist's original pic, but it's outta focus there too.

wow i'm hurting my eyes looking at this thing now. i think the circle is just weird pixels.
i doubt the hexagram means the order owns the page...but that would be one hell of a twist.
has anyone seen any other symbols in the banner? like...do any of the other ones mean anything? i know most of them are just stars and flowers but there are some interesting shapes going on.
