i know there are already plenty of threads regarding the kidnapping but there arn't enough polls. so leave it up to me, "mr. poll happy" to make one.
basicly, i want to see how you feel. i could just be drunk but personaly, i feel that the kidnapping twist just took the awesome story of bree and daniel and jonas and kicked it up a notch. i love it. it might not end up well for the characters but i'm digging the twist.
kidnapping someone is obviously not good for free will. and since free will is a centeral theme to the lg15 plot, i'd be surprised if it didn't backfire in one way or another.
what do you think? give me a verdict and for gods sake, post a response!

Bad bad bad all around. Worst video ever. Seems Jonas was the sane one all along. Watch the cops come running.

I'm in agreement with the drunk platypus. It's an interesting twist, a startling but believable development for the characters (especially Bree), and it raises an interesting moral question.
I say good for the story and good for the characters.
ETA: Goddammit, I clicked on the wrong option in the poll. Okay, everyone subtract one from the "the kindapping is good for the story, bad for the characters" slot and add it to the one right below.

Is it strange that I keep thinking you're really that platypus in the picture? A drunk platypus?

I think that Jonas is being practical because he knows what it feels like to be tied up by bree and jonas...feeling that betrayal all over again...
Posing your kidnapping online?

I know the creators side stepped the videotaping issue by saying that the Order doesn't check videos now, but even if they don't (and how would Bree know?), isn't it still really stupid to post a videotape of yourself kidnapping someone? You don't have to be the Order to go after BDJ for that. Are we just supposed to ignore the public video issues now? It seems a little odd if so, considering that the creators went to the trouble of making that extra feature of private videos. It would be GREAT if the kidnapping was staged. Then I wouldn't have to assume that the main characters were stupid.

It's bad for the story, because Bree has made this Mistake before when she kidnapped Jonas and tied him to a chair in his own house.
Now, I'm no expert on writing stories, but having a character do the same mistake twice is repetitive. Characters are supposed to learn from their mistakes.
And of course, It's bad for BDJ. They didnt even plan how to kidnap her. It was very sloppy. If they don't get caught it will be a miracle.
But maybe I'm wrong. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

that is a completley reasonable thing to assume. infact to me, you're a cartoon character.

i like your response. a lot. i would like to think that the kidnappingwas staged and yet i really doubt it. it just doesn't seem like the same brand of clever we've seen from the creators thusfar.

Definitely bad for the story. I can't say if it was bad for the characters until I see where it leads.

Gross sensationalism. Even worse than the "Teacher" remark at the end of Pluto, and that was horrid itself.
I would like to hope the c's are exploring some kind of theme with this vid, the possibility IS there for them to do this. Good guys gone bad, yada, yada...
I suspect though that there is NO theme and this will just go down as a yet another plot device/character assassination that ultimately will never be explored . Their track record on this kind of thing is shoddy at best, meandering and disappearing plots are the norm. They have not show one iota of sophistication in character development or a rational plot in months.
Because of this, I say it is appalling to portray the kidnapping of a minor. Very poor form, even for these guys.
Who See's What Indeed. Rubbish.
