I thought it was great! Not something I would normally expect from Lost, but still great!

Great episode!
I agree, the ending was fabulous!!!
I got chills when they showed nikki saying "paralyzed" towards the end.
The spiders gave me the heebee jeebees. Are there really such thing as Medusa spiders? Scary if so! Could you imagine being paralyzed for 8 hours and people thinking you are dead.. then burying you alive!!! OMG that thought scares the crap outta me.
So we got to see that nikki and paolo were not so good guys. And the flashbacks to previous things creeped me out. Like when nikki wanted paoulo to go inside the plane (that later killed boone).. and he said no cuz it would kill him. And him going inside the hatch and seeing ben talk about his plans to kidnap jack, AND NOT SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT IT TO THE REST OF THE PEOPLE!! YIKES!!
Next weeks preview pissed me off. All they showed was kate and juli wrestling in the mud. (lol, bet the boys will like that)

Next weeks preview was funny in a way because usually the previews have flashes of all kinds of scenes and I'm a nerd and watch it in slow mo on the DVR to see what I can pick out. This week though had nothing, but girlfight. I guess that's enough reason to get some people to watch!

The ending made me so freaked out! Other than the ending though, I thought it was a kinda bad episode. Maybe it's just because I can't like anything with Nikki/Paolo. Though the episode did enlighten us as to what Paolo was doing in the bathroom of the Pearl in the beginning of the season. And I liked seeing Shannon and Boone, but they weren't in it for very long.

I just watched the episode. I thought it was great. A little more...creepy than usual, but definitely a good one. It has me liking Lost again. I love all the connections between the characters. Even just Shannon and Boone seeing Nikki and Paolo was neat.

I was trying to prove to my parents that Lost doesn't feature lots of scantily-clad women, so they decided to watch the episode with me, and OF COURSE the first scene has to have strippers.
Now they don't believe me when I tell them that not every episode is like that.
It was pretty funny though, I have to admit.

I watched the ep with my dad, and I spent the whole time explaining stuff to him. "That's Shannon and Boone from the first season." "That's the plane that Boone basically died in." and so on, because he hasn't seen the first season, and he just has a hard time following it. In fact, I spend every episode explaining stuff to him.

I know! My parents are just like that! And when there are quotes like (spoken by Nikki in the last episode) "Promise me we won't end up like them," it doesn't have the double meaning that it does for us fans who know that Boone and Shannon died. And my parents didn't even watch the beginning of the third season, so most of last week's episode completely confused them. They just refuse to start from the beginning! People don't seem to understand that Lost is a show where you have to watch each episode in chronological order.

I miss God's Friggin' Gift and Light comma Sticks. Hell, I even miss Artz...even if I am semi-confused as to how he got all those peanut butter jars before the hatch even exploded (or is it imploded?
).

Hahaha good point. but I love Artz! So many cool people have died on that show it's sad. And what about Steve? Or was it Scott?

Hee! Poor Steve/Scott. Nobody remembers him. Or what about that chick that Ethan killed? Alas poor red-shirts, we knew you well.
The problem with this episode was it was a good "stand alone" episode, and I don't think Lost really has a format for those kind of episodes. Like the X-Files--yes, they had episodes talking about the main plot, but they also had episodes that were stand alone, dealing with mythological creatures and psychics and whatnot. Even if the episodes are heavy on a paticular character's flashback, it's to show how the character has (or has not) grown from their past situations and how they reflect on their new lives on an island. Nikki and Paulo's storyline seemed so remote from everything else that was going on, CGIed into the story or not. One thing I did enjoy was the fact that Jackass made his infamous speech in S1--"If we don't live together, we're gonna die alone!" ...And that's exactly what N&P did. They lived away from everyone else, and they died alone, with people not knowing what the hell to say over their graves.
Not to say I didn't enjoy the various inside jokes, seeing our old friends, and BILLY FREAKING DEE WILLIAMS. I liked the "paralyzed"/"Paulo lies" line, that was cool too. But lets get back to the story, please.
Count me in for the ick of this next episode too. Hmm, Juliet and Kate fighting in the rain. Gee, we're not catering to a specific audience, are we?
